Baptism in Dark Water

In X.E. Yims debut Novel, Baptism in Dark Water, we are introduced to a young man named Javi, who is caught in the midst of an adventure through the Southeast United States. Javi struggles to find himself, as he is confronted by influential personalities and conflicting theologies. In the environment chock-full of mysticism, folklore and tradition, Javi begins to forge his own path into the unknown places he must go. All the while, looming out there in the darkness is a Universal Truth, if only Javi can just have the courage to wade into that dark water.
